A Caughley porcelain 'Weir' fan-shaped dish, circa 1790-95, painted in underglaze blue with the central pattern between a Greek key and diaper border, impressed 'Salopian' mark, 34.5cm wide; together with a Caughley 'Salopian Sprigs' oval quatrefoil stand, ozier basket-weave moulded border, impressed 'Salopian' mark, 23cm wide (2) Provenance: Private Collection. The Weir dish was purchased from Bill Dickenson in the 1990s. The 'Salopian Sprigs' were purchased from Highgate Antiques in 1988.
