An 18th century oak cased 30-hour longcase clock by Donisthorpe, the hood with stepped cornice above a plain cornice, the engraved brass dial with date aperture and silvered chapter, enclosed by ornate gilt spandrels and flanked by plain pilasters, the trunk with crossbanded door and marquetry inlay depicting a Helios, above a stepped plinth base with further marquetry. Includes weight and brass bound pendulum. Dial measures 12”. Total height 6’3” (190cm).
H190cm W47cm D27cm (approx).
Condition report: Some cracking to crossbanded inlay. Even patina with age.
