A worksplate, ENGLISH ELECTRIC/VULCAN FOUNDRY, 2693/D454, 1959, from a BR Class 40 No D237 new to Gateshead in October 1959, renumbered 40037 in February 1974, withdrawn from Thornaby in August 1981 and cut up at BREL Swindon in November 1983. Chromed cast brass, 10¼"x4½", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: C)
