The hinged lid with chip-carved ends, the front boldly carved with large stylized leaf-filled lunettes, the sides extending to V-shaped cutaway supports, with three-petal flower carved to apex, the interior lined with printed sheets, including John Bull & Christopher Barker, publishers of a Bible, 1671 and Parliamentary papers relating to Charles II, 86cm wide, 47cm high, 37cm deep.
