VF together with some photocopied research pages from “The Devonshire Regiment 1914-18” relating to operations for the recapture of Kut in Mesopotamia on 3rd Feb 1917, it states “..this brilliant success had cost the battalion dear, it had taken 15 officers and 403 men into the attack, only 5 officers and 186 men coming out unhit.” a note in the margin reads “One was Bourne”. £150-200
