A Bronze astrolabe, Circumference 20cm, weight 3.15kg An early navigational instrument, thought to be c1500 and of Portuguese origin. Found on Loe Bar, Porthleven, after a severe gale in 1990, and said to have been declared to the Receiver of Wreck. Copies were known to have been made, and this may be one of them, sold with no guarantee of originality.
