kept by Henry Pretty, Chief Officer for Capt. Robert Bearne between 22nd November 1867 and 18th May 1868 for a return voyage for sugar and molasses between Bristol and Trinidad, including a report on departure of the accidental drowning of an Able Seaman (James Collins), crew list, shipboard routine and weather sightings etc., sixty-six leaves with a few blank end pages, bound in blue card boards with later label to front -- 11½ x 10in. (29 x 25.5cm.)
