A 16 bore flintlock pistol by R Ashmore (Wednesbury, Staffs), c 1820, 11” overall, octagonal twist barrel 6”; trade quality lock with unbridled frizzen, the plate stamped “R Ashmore-Warranted”; walnut fullstock, the rounded butt with “plaid” type chequering; steel mounts, the trigger guard with pineapple finial; with a horn tipped ramrod. GWO & basically GC (some wear, the mounts pitted). .
