Warren, Canterbury, a mahogany day longcase clock the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell with the twelve-inch painted break-arch dial having black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dials, gilt-brass hands and signed to the centre Warren, Canterbury, the mahogany case with brass capitals and stop-work to the fluted trunk and hood columns, the hood with shaped cresting and surmounted by three brass ball-and-spire finials, the base with raised mouldings and all standing on a double plinth, height 232cm inc. finials. Notes: James Warren and his son also James are well-known Kent clockmakers with James Snr. apprenticed to Henry Sims being freed in 1767 whilst James Jnr. was apprenticed in 1785 gaining his freedom in 1800.
