A worksplate, BEYER PEACOCK. 7767, 1956, from a South African Railways 3ft 6ins gauge Class GMAM 4-8-2+2-8-4 Beyer Garratt No 4101 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 27693, as sub-contactors for BP. They were the last class of Garratt in service with the SAR and were being withdrawn from regular service by 1984. Cast brass, 13¾"x6¾", cleaned but unpainted. (Postage Band: B)
