A chess set, possibly F H Ayres, in a mahogany box, and another larger weighted chess set, in box, Ayres Kings 6cm. Condition - good
Both sets complete. Ayres set not weighted. Ayres white set one knight one ear chipped and incomplete. Black set one knight ear chipped, one rook chip at castellation, (this Ayres set rooks with four castellations, as opposed to the more usual six castellations), one Bishop chipped and finial missing, two pawns with a chip to shoulders; Ayres set contained in a mahogany box - cover split horizontally. Other set whites good; blacks Queen crack to base, one knight crack to base, one pawn base chipped, two pawns scraped and chipped.
