An early 18th century c1720 Westerwald salt glazed stoneware jug, produced to commemorate the Coronation of George I. The jug featuring ribbed neck painted in brown colourway, the bulbous body featuring incised floral, chessboard and scrolled design. Central monogram GR crest with crown atop. Painted in blue. Large amount of damage & loss to the neck of the ewer.
