1803 pattern British Infantry flank officer's sword, curved 29'' single edged blade, blued and with gilt detail decoration, inscribed 'Wheeler & Son, Birmingham, Warranted', gilt brass hilt with GR cypher, shagreen grip with lion's head pommel, with original leather scabbard with metal mounts and two rings for suspension

The scabbard is broken in two. The original finish to the leather is all but worn. The blade is in good condition with only minor wear to the bluing from sheath rubbing. The original wirework is intact on the hilt. The gilt is worn from the back of the hilt and elsewhere.
