In fully restored condition, the picture has been relined, cleaned and restored and the impasto of the paint has been rather compressed in the relining process, there is evidence of some surface dirt and discoloured varnish in places with some restoration to the background, contained within a replacement 1970s or '80s gilt plaster and wooden frame.
