An antique rare original newspaper excerpt from the ''The Times'' dated to October 3rd 1798 and detailing Admiral Nelson's victory over the French Fleet near Rosetta during what is now known as The Battle of the Nile. The famed Rosetta stone was discovered a year later, enabling scholars to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphs which had been a mystery for millennia. The paper is in good condition considering its age and provides an excellent insight into major events of the time.
