Very rare 18ct gold pair cased pocket watch, by Robert Roskell, Liverpool, hallmarked Chester 1810, polished outer case of good gauge, gold matted and floral dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds, plain polished inner case, Litherland's rack lever movement with diamond end stone to the engraved cock plate, and further inscribed 'Patent', signed and numbered 24637, gilt (non-gold) dust cover, 55mm diameter, gross weight approx. 160g

More Information

Very minor surface scratches to the outer case consistent with age and normal use. The inner case is in similar condition with some very minor rubbing to the outer edge. Some wear to the suspension loop. Slight discolouration to the dial. Original blueing to the hands. The case closes crisply. The watch currently ticks when wound.
