1955 Triton 750 Morgo. Registration number FCP 794 (non transferrable). Frame number K122 62781. Engine number 6T D565.
Sold with the V5C (Norton), V.E.60, stating conversion in 1971, old MOTs, tax discs and other paperwork.
The Triton, with its Norton frame and Triumph engine regarded by enthusiasts as the quintessential British sports special. This hybrid first emerged in the 1950s and continues to be built by professionals and amateurs alike, enjoying marque status today. It has always allowed builders to construct what they feel is the best combination of frame and engine, whether it be wideline or narrow, 650 or 750cc.
FCP was originally a Dominator 88, the first Norton to use the legendary Featherbed frame. In 1971 Patrick Seaman of Norwich converted it to a Triton using a Triumph 6T pre unit engine, this is recorded on the V.E. 60. It passed to a family member, Andrew, in 1975, at that time the MOT shows a mileage of 4,306. It appears to then have been stored until Martin Jermy of Norwich bought and registered it with DVLA in 2004 with a mileage of 4,396 miles. In 2010 it had risen to 4,968 and the following year 122 miles. In 2014 he had a Morgo 750 conversion fitted with 9 stud head, new Wassel carbs were fitted as was a electronic ignition and slick shift gear change. It was still on its 19" Borrani rims.
Our vendor bought it in 2019 from him and has taken the mileage up to its current 563 miles. He changed the colour from bare alloy to the current blue and has little used it due to the other more modern bikes he owns. It comes with a spare fibreglass tank and some spares.
It will need recommissioning before road use.
