A Chinese export famille rose fencai chocolate pot and cover, Yongzheng period, of tapering cylindrical form with a right-angled handle, delicately painted in pale enamels with two pheasants perched on a tree peony branch, the domed cover, upper border, handle and spout gilded with vines or trailing flowers, 21.2cm high
Typical minor glaze and manufacturing imperfections. Some minor wear to the gilding and some occasional minor scratches to the glaze, some slight indentations to the edge of foot, otherwise in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks detected.
