1982 Benelli 254, 231cc. Registration number YCP 361Y. Frame number 11803. Engine number 1646.
Sold with the V5C, keys, history.
The Benelli 254, originally known as the Benelli 250 Quatro, is a 250cc inline-four produced from 1977 to 1984. At the time it was the smallest production four cylinder. Designed by engineer Lino Tonti, the styling was by Paolo Martin. First shown at the 1975 Milan Motorcycle Show, plastic and aluminium were used extensively to keep the weight down to 117kg. Martin's sleek styling included uncluttered handlebars, with the clocks and brake master cylinder mounted in the tank.
YCP was purchased by our vendor in 2022 from an the family of the previous owner. It has been stood for some 40 years. A new starter motor was fitted, bolts changed to stainless, and it was soon up and running. It is believed to be in original condition.
The 4 cylinder engine produces 27.8bhp at 10,500 RPM.
