Russian gold Medal of St George 2nd Class, reverse numbered No 2880 and edge officially impressed to 71071 Act Br C.W. Davis R.H.A. very fine to extremely fine, swing mounted as worn and with matching ribbon bar.
Charles William Davis’s Medal of St George was announced in the London Gazette dated 24th August 1915 serving with A Battery R.H.A.
With original Certificate of Service (Red Book), he enlisted in the West Riding Regt 6 Sep 1904, served in India 5 Oct 1905 to 9 Oct 1914, transferred to RHA 31 Oct 1912, France 11 Nov 1914 to 17 Jan 1919, post war served in India and Egypt, discharged from D Battery 10 Oct 1925, book confirms all medals.
