A Coalport centrepiece vase, circa 1900-1910 of boat form with twin handles, painted with a large cartouche of Fancy Birds in a landscape, opposed by a further shield-shaped panel of flowers, the cobalt ground richly decorated in gilt with trailing foliage and interior powdered with gilt, raised on four feet, printed factory mark in green, numbered V.5146 L/8.245 in gilt, 41cm overall width, 19cm high Provenance: Ivor Southorn Collection.
