Allam & Clements, London a mahogany longcase clock the eight-day duration, five-pillar movement striking the hours on a bell with the twelve-inch brass break-arch dial having a raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals, the matted centre with a subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and silvered plaque engraved with the makers name Allam & Clements, London with cast-brass c-scroll spandrels to the four-corners, the arch with a strike/silent dial, the mahogany case with raised panel to the base with the hood having brass stops to the fluted pillars and a brass ball and spire finials to the pagoda top, height 252cm. Notes: Allam & Clements are recorded as working in London from circa 1764 being succeeded by Allam & Caithness in circa 1800.
