Former Bristol Zoo Gardens - a c1920s Alfred The Gorilla Kodak related advertising cabinet, as displayed in Bristol Zoo Gardens. Featuring a large cabinet photograph of a young Alfred the Gorilla, with printed gold text 'Photographed by Mr JE Saunders FZS on Verichrome Film the master-film by Kodak' and 'Mr JE Saunders FZS... the famous photographer of animals says Verichrome is a triumph!' A small aperture (likely originally containing a further advertisement) features to the bottom. Mahogany construction. 100cm x 61cm.
