A smokebox numberplate, 57681, from a Pickersgill designed Caledonian Railway 300 Class 0-6-0 No 280 built at St Rollox in October 1919, becoming LMS 17681 and BR 57681. It was at Carstairs in 1935 and in 1939 moved to Motherwell from where it was withdrawn on 8 October 1962 and sold to TW Ward at Inverkeithing. The plate is unrestored although the face lacks paint.
