A rare original aquatint etching of an English Setter from 1934 by the famous artist Rueben Ward Binks. Published 1934 by Arthur Greatorex Ltd. 14 Grafton Street, London, W1.
Binks was recognised as the leading artist of his day in canine portraiture, not only in the UK but also abroad. He painted dogs for three generations of the British Royal family.
The etching is on cream-coloured laid paper stock (watermarked ‘F.J. Head’) with deckled edges. Great colour tones with fine detail and crisp linework.
Size: 7.5in x 9in (19cm x 23cm) .
