Pair of Italian white marble statues modelled as The Virgin Mary and The Angel Gabriel, after an original group 'Le Cassanelle' ('The Annunciation') from the 14th century by sculptur Nino Pisano in the church of Santa Caterina in Pisa, both 23" high approx (2) (the figure with the shorter hair and long scroll has a repaired neck break)
The figure with the scroll with repaired damage where the head has been off and glued re-fixed, there is rough texture around the base toes and the lower portions of the robes with chips and heavy wear, some rough areas where the extremities of the robe folds to both figures, incredibly heavy pieces, see closer details images attached as a guide.
