A CHINESE TWIN PEDESTAL DESK, QING DYNASTY, WITH REPLACEMENT TOP. Stained, probably elm, the matched plank top supported by two pedestals, each with drawer, with interlocking fretwork undertier, 81.5cm high x 154cm wide x 79.5cm deep
As described, the top is replaced, it has some chipping and repairs to the front edge, with some losses, several patches of staining and water damage to top, some slight warping and splitting. Overall the surface stain is cracking, worn and there is some flaking. Several of the feet are cut down and with new replacements spliced in, handles are replaced. Overall rustic appearance, with some wear, scuffing and small repairs.
