An early 19th Century French scent bottle by Jean Baptiste circa 1820, the compressed ovoid body with short collar neck and spherical stopper, hand enamelled with flowers and foliage in enamel and gilding over an opal ground, height 10cm, together with a later Bohemian example with lobed body in deep blue, height 13cm. (2)
The French example has wear to the gilding and the Bohemian example has had the spire form top re-gilded.
