A rare Caughley porcelain 'Rose' sauceboat, circa 1776-80, of fluted low oval form, painted in underglaze blue with the central open flower with a single branch and foliage to either side, the interior with a cell diaper upper border, C with serif mark, 7cm high, 14cm long (crack around upper terminus of handle) Provenance: Private collection, purchased prior to 1975.
