A FIRST WORLD WAR GERMAN 'BUTHCER' BAYONET AND SCABBARD. A First World War German M1898 bayonet with a 36.5 cm pointed blade with swollen end and broad fuller, marked F.W. Holler Sollingen, and W over 17 and beneath a crown to the back, with a two part wooden grip. In a steel scabbard with leather frog and belt hanger, marked to the reverse '107.R ...' 55 cm overall.
A nice example with clean blade, scabbard marked in places to the reverse.
