Bruno Cassinari (Italian 1912 - 1992) Figura - 1953 † signed 'Cassinari' (lower left), signed, dated and titled (verso), oil on canvas, 49 x 38.5 cm, framed and glazed 63 x 53 cm Footnote Bruno Cassinari (born in Piacennza) lived in Antibes from 1949 to 1952, where he was closely associated with Pablo Picasso, who invited Cassinari to exhibit his works at the Antibes Museum of Art in 1949. Cassinari subsequently won the Grand Prize for painting at the 26th Venice Biennale in 1952.
