1840 1d black Plate 1b (LA-LF) horizontal strip of six, touching to good surrounding margins, with vertical slits between LB-LC & LD-LE, this unusual practise was a method of partially separating adhesives prior to use ( a precursor to perforations), each stamp individually struck by neat black MC, fine a rare and unusual multiple.
