A 12 bore flintlock fowling piece by Millnes, London, c 1770, 52" overall, part octagonal barrel 36" with London proofs, the breech engraved "Millnes London", flat stepped lock signed "Millnes", walnut halfstock with engraved brass mounts including fore end cap, trigger guard with acorn finial, and escutcheon bearing traces of initials or crest, and with brass tipped wooden ramrod. GWO & basically GC (frizzen re-faced, stock repaired with iron plates, worn indicating much use). £300-400
