A large William IV rosewood and mother-of-pearl work box, of sarcophagus form, with gadrooned borders, loose ring handles and bun feet, the original fitted interior with lift-out tray, in green silk with mother-of-pearl cotton reels and wool winder, 13½ x 10¾in. (34.25 x 27.25cm.), 7in. (17.75cm.) high. Good condition and very original. Small chip to mounting bracket to right front foot. Interior good with just minor wear to paper lining on edges. No key.
