EDO PERIOD, LATE 17TH CENTURY
decorated in tones of underglaze blue with blossoming rocky outcrops, the domes cover surmounted by a lion finial
30cm diam, 34cm high
PROVENANCE: From the Collection of the Late George Withers (1946-2023).
There are two riveted repairs to the cover and a rim chip and resulting hairline to the base. Crazing to glaze ad some staining to interior of bowl.
