A steel barrelled flintlock blunderbuss pistol, by William Jover, c 1785, 14½” overall, 2 stage swamped barrel 9” with beaded baluster ring, the flat topped breech engraved “Jover, London” and with London and maker’s proofs; the flat stepped lock signed “Jover” in script; plain walnut fullstock with bulbous butt, the steel mounts include domed butt cap and flower engraved trigger guard with acorn finial.
