A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY PAIR TO THE SERVICE CORPS. A Great War pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to DM2-155164 Pte G. Bushell A.S.C. George Bushell was the son of William Bushell and husband to Annie Last (formerly Bushell) of 7 Middleton Street, St Thomas Swansea. A native of Bradford he served with Mechanical Transport attached to the 121st Siege Battery of the R.G.A. He died of wounds on the 9th November 1917 and is buried at Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery southwest of Poperinge in Belgium, he was 27 years old. Sold with copied research. *CR Normal light surface marks. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
