A 19TH CENTURY FRENCH SABRE AND SCABBARD. With a 91cm curved blade with pointed tip and sharpened edge, with a broad fuller and narrow fuller above, engraved to the back of the blade and dated 1899 (?). The heavy brass three bar guard stamped '406', with wire bound grip and oval pommel. With steel scabbard with single ring suspension. 110cm overall *Condition: Light scuffs and marks to surfaces, the scabbard with light dents, engraving to the back rubbed. With previous owners accession number.
