Oil on thick wooden panel which is slightly curved and bowing outwards at the centre, paint a little worn and rubbed with some fine craquelure showing as well as some grain of the panel, a number of small surface dents and scratches notably through the neck of the attendant and the belly of John the Baptist, housed in an antique giltwood frame which is equally rather tatty and has a later attribution plaque upon it, no labels or inscriptions verso.
