Three silver verge pocket watches comprising George III pair cased watch by James Burton, Whitehaven, hallmarked Birmingham 1807, off-white enamelled dial, 55mm diameter; another by Robert Fletcher, Chester, outer case marks obliterated, the interior case marks Birmingham 1835, white enamelled dial, 58mm diameter; and another by John Davies, Chester, the inner case hallmarked Birmingham 1839, the outer case hallmarked London 1843, 57mm diameter (3)

Burton: Dial has a five point star crack. Score mark to the bezel on the outer case. Minor surface scratches consistent with age. Knocks, scrapes and some outer edge rubbing to the interior case. The watch ticks when wound.
Fletcher: Outer case hallmarks obliterated. Small sharp dents and other dents to the outside edge of the outer case. The dial has a hair crack between 9 o'clock and 1 o'clock. Some pitting on the back cover and sharp knife marks around the button. Some rubbing to the edge of the case. The gilt has been removed over the number of the watch. Currently ticks when wound.
Davies: The outer case has a light dent to the bezel. Minor surface scratches. White enamelled dial appears to be in good order. Some scratches to the glass and a tiny chip to the bevelled edge at 6 o'clock. Minor rubbing dents to the outside edge of the inner case and some slight pitting to the back of the inner case. The watch currently ticks when wound.
