A rare and little used SPIERS smoother with rosewood infill and handle and cam action lever cap, probably a prototype, the little used Stewart Spiers 2" iron and back iron both stamped 2. The plane has two holes drilled behind the iron for the optional attachment of a Spiers adjuster, crack to handle o/w G++
