A FIRST WORLD WAR TRIO TO A FIRST DAY OF THE SOMME CASUALTY FROM THE KING'S OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY. A Great War Trio comprising 1914-15 Star named to 19034 Pte E. Middleton Yorks LI, War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named. Elvey Middleton from Huddersfield served with the 9th (Service) Battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (K3). He was killed in action on the 1st of July 1916 and is buried on the Somme outside Albert at the Gordon Dump Cemetery, Ovillers-La Boiselle. *CR Slightly grubby and normal slight surface marks. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
