A pair of Spode shell shaped topographical dessert dishes, one with black factory painted mark, the other unmarked, each painted with a landscape, one a river with a city beyond, the other a cottage beside a stone bridge, the scalloped rims and handles enriched with gilt, 8 7/8in. (22.5cm.) long; together with a similar Bloor Derby dish, painted with a 'View in Italy', within a cobalt blue and gilt border, red printed factory mark and painted inscription, 9 ¾in. (24.75cm.) long. (3) * - Pair: Both with a little gilt wear to raised edges. Blurred pale brown discoloured line under the glaze near edge of base to one dish - not a crack. - Bloor Derby: Minor gilt wear.
