A smokebox numberplate 48334 from a LMS Class 8F 2-8-0 No 8334 built at Horwich in 1943, becoming BR 48334. A long time Kirkby engine, it spent a final couple of years at Northwich from where it was withdrawn in January 1968 and sold for scrap to Buttigiegs at Newport. Ex loco condition. (Postage Band: D)
