Railway. Ex G.W.R.and constituent company locomotives plus approx. 50 ex L.M.S. and constituent co. locomotives the majority are in pre- BR days. A fine collection of commercial photographs and postcards in a slipcase album. There are approx. 300 black and white prints collected by the vendor over a 60 year period. The prints have been stored well and are in good condition. The collection features ex. Cambrian, Barry, Rhymney, ADR, M & SWJR, South Devon, Cardiff, BP &GVR, R & SBR, CM & DPR locomotives. The ex LMS prints include Mersey, Maryport & Carlisle, Wirral, North London, Furness Railway co. locomotives. They are from a wide variety of sources including: Lens of Sutton, Photomatic, H. Gordon Tidey Photographs, Real Photograph Co. and others.
Only a few are captioned on the reverse but most locomotive numbers are identifiable, no copyright, sample illustrated.
