A FIRST WORLD WAR MEMORIAL PLAQUE TO R. ORMISTON. A Memorial plaque named to R. Ormiston. The Commonwealth War Graves Site suggest three possibilities for R. Ormiston, a Robert Ormiston from the Canadian Infantry, and Gunner R. Ormiston who died on the 18th September and is at Peronne Communal Cemetery and a Robert Ormiston from Galashiels who served with the 6th (Service) Battalion (K1) of the Scottish Borderers as number 12354, he was killed in action on the 4th August 1915 and is buried at the Le Touret Military Cemetery, Richebourg-L'Avoue. *CR slight surface marks.
