(small closed tears at top clear of stamp & marks) to Perth (Scotland) headed & countersigned for the 2a Concession Rate for a Royal Artillery Bombardier with India 2a Orange tied by a very fine Military mute barred diamond cancel, having a fine "QUETTA" cds (Afghanistan not Pakistan) on the reverse - sent soon after the final decisive Battle of Kandahar that ended the 2nd Afghan War. Plus 3 Mar. 1900 stampless env. (closed tear at top & some edge wear) also to Perth headed "Field service. Stamps not obtainable" at top with fine 2-ring "LADYSMITH/NATAL" cds and cancelled (by London "FB" marks) matching "T" and "10c" in circle marks. Unusual pair. (2 covers) [Both Ex Dr. J.
