More Information

The paint surface shows evidence of overpainting to the forehead above the bridge of the nose, and along the horizontal line of the panel join running through the moustache. There is also evidence of later varnishing, most visible on the chin. UV inspection reveals no obvious evidence of restoration beyond that described above.
