A 50 bore silver mounted cannon barrelled flintlock boxlock pistol by Hadley, London, c 1770, 9½” overall, turn off barrel 4”; with Tower private proofs; the frame engraved with rocailles and trophies and signed in scrolls; with sliding trigger guard safety, frizzen spring in top of the breech, and bulbous walnut butt inlaid with siver wire scrolls and with unmarked silver grotesque mask butt cap.
