A Victorian banded agate and pearl cross pendant, set with round banded agate cabochons interspersed small pearls, all set in unmarked yellow metal, suspended on a gold coloured spring ring bail, 50mm x 31mm, weight 7.8gms

More Information

The pearls are very heavily worn, and some are completely missing. A few appear to possibly be replacements or fragments. The banded agates are in good order, no chips, cracks or losses, minor scratching and wear commensurate with age and use only. The mount appears in good order, showing some wear and thinning to the top and bottom and sides and general scratching and wear, but no splitting or repair. The pendant bail appears to be later attached. The spring ring mechanism is extremely stiff, very difficult to open and close. See additional images.
